DDG Overview

The DDG provides a safe, confidential environment within which Users can familiarise themselves with ESS’ eDocs Exchange, the ESS-Databridge™. DDG members are offered the unique opportunity to guide the functional and operational development of the Exchange, rather than be presented with a finished product. The main roles of the DDG are:
  • To provide a secure environment for its Members to Prepare to adopt eDocs, by interacting with trade partner Members to learn about the current status of eDocs adoption, including confidential information on all ongoing Trials and Rollouts, and enable Members to familiarize themselves with ESS’s Services.
  • To provide a secure environment for its Members to Adopt eDocs, by disseminating the information required to assist in the smooth adoption of eDocs, such as training materials, and hosting Workshops in order to obtain Trial participants’ feedback prior to using eDocs.
  • To work to Improve eDocs Services by inviting Members to actively take part in guiding the functional and operational direction of the ESS-Databridge™ and in the development of the ESS-Databridge™ Services and Users Agreement (DSUA).
  • To Regulate the DDG and the use of the Exchange through the DDG Executive Committee and the DDG Charter, which defines the structure of the DDG.
  • To Facilitate trade by working with DDG Members, International Organizations and Standards Bodies to develop standards and best practices to the benefit of all Members.
