Privacy Policy Persons who access the DDG website agree to be bound by the following privacy policy: The DDG respects your privacy. In general, you can visit the DDG's website without telling us who you are or revealing any personal information about yourself. There are times when we may need information from you, such as your name, mailing address or email address. You will be asked to supply that information voluntarily. By submitting any personal information in this way, you agree that we may use it to respond to you (including forwarding it to members of the ESS Group) and that we may store it for as long as is necessary to: address your question or comment; satisfy any legal obligation that we may have (including any obligation under regulation or governmental request); or protect the rights, property, safety or security of the DDG and/or the ESS Group. If we propose to use your details to send you information from the DDG or a member of the ESS Group about events or developments which we believe may be of interest to you (other than information that you have specifically requested), we give you an opportunity to tell us that you do not wish to receive such information by ticking a box - alternatively, you can let us know your preferences by sending an email to legal@essdocs.com. We collect non-public personal information from applications or other forms that you submit to us, and from your transactions with us, or others, and from consumer and business reporting agencies. We will not sell your personal information to, or share it with, any other company or third party agency, except as required by law. We disclose such non-public personal information about you only to those employees who have a need to know. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to guard your non-public personal information. When the DDG receives information about your session or about you, we may use it for research, regulatory purposes, or to improve our site. In general, on the DDG's website, IP addresses (the internet address of a computer) are logged to track a user's session while the user remains anonymous. This data is analyzed for certain trends and statistics, such as which parts of our site users are visiting and how long they spend there, among other possible uses. The US Children's Online Privacy Protection Act imposes certain requirements on websites directed at children under 13 that collect information on those children, and on websites that knowingly collect information on children under 13. The DDG's website is not directed at children under 13, and does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under 13. The DDG reserves the right to revise this Privacy Policy at any time and users are deemed to be aware of and bound by any changes to this Privacy Policy upon publication on our website. It is your responsibility to check it for changes. Any changed Privacy Policy will apply only to non-public personal information you give to us or confirm to us after the effective date of the change. Accordingly, we recommend that you review our Privacy Policy before giving or confirming to us any non-public personal information. If you have any questions about our privacy policies, want to exercise your right to see a copy of the information that we hold about you, or think that information we hold about you may need to be corrected, please send an email to legal@essdocs.com. |
